NOTE: June 1 is a public holiday in Germany! Be sure to check the appropriate holiday schedules (= Sunday schedules).

By train:

You have 3 options of arriving at:

• Berlin Main Train Station (approx. 40 km from the hotel): high-speed train connections (ICE, IC, EC) from major cities in Europe. From Berlin Main Station take a regional train (RE1 >>download schedule<)  to Potsdam Main Station (see below). It runs every 30 minutes (trip takes 25 minutes).
• Potsdam Main Train Station (approx. 5 km from the hotel) can be reached from throughout Germany but is mainly served by regional trains and the Berlin S-Bahn (commuter trains). If you arrive at Potsdam Main Station take the regional train RB22 (>>download schedule<) or bus 631 (>>download schedule<<) to Potsdam-Pirschheide to get to the hotel.
• Potsdam-Pirschheide Train Station is 800 m from the hotel and a free shuttle service is offered by the Hotel (need 24h advance notice, see below)

By plane:

Berlin Tegel International Airport (TXL) and Berlin Schönefeld International Airport (SXF) are both approx. 50 km from Potsdam.

Berlin Tegel: Flights from overseas and western european cities as well as connecting flights from Frankfurt and Munich will arrive at Tegel (TXL) airport. From TXL you can take the bus X9 (>>download schedule<<) to Bahnhof Zoologischer Garten where you can transfer to the regional train RE1 (see above) that takes you to Potsdam Main Station. See above how to get from Potsdam Main Station to the hotel.

Berlin Schönefeld: Flights served by low-cost carriers Ryanair and Easyjet (serving european cities) and some eastern european carriers will arrive at Schönefeld airport (SXF). There is a regional train (RB22 >>download schedule<<) directly connecting SXF and Potsdam Pirschheide (800m from Hotel). It takes 50 minutes and runs hourly during the weekdays (every two hours on sundays or holidays).

Shuttle Service:

The hotel offers a shuttle service from the airports or train stations to the hotel. Vans for up to 10 people can be ordered. Reservations have to be made 24h prior to arrival. Prices per van:

• from TXL: 45€
• from SXF: 55€
• from Potsdam Mains Station: 15€
• from Berlin Main Station: 55€
• from Potsdam Pirschheide Station: free

There is a message board installed on this website, see here. This will allow you to get in touch with other participants of the meeting to coordinate shared shuttle rides to the hotel if you wish to do so. You will need to contact the hotel,indicating that you are going to attend ISOCOMPOUND (they have your room reservations) with your flight information and number of travellers at least 24h in advance under:

By car:

• From the north: Autobahn A24 (Hamburg-Rostock) to A10 Berliner Ring. Exit at Potsdam Nord.
• From the west: Autobahn A 2 Hannover to the A10 to exit Groß Kreutz.
• From the south and east: A9 / A13 / A12 (Leipzig, Dresden, Frankfurt/O.) to the A10 to exit Michendorf.
